Why do you need Professional Insurance?

Public Liability cover

Our Professional Insurance Policy is aimed at professional individuals working from home or a third party premises.

There is always the risk when you enter a clients premises that an accident can occur. You may accidentally spill a drink on their computer or someone may trip over your bag or briefcase, professional insurance will cover you against any incident that may arise for which a third party can seek compensation.

Please note the Professional Insurance policy is only for white colour trades, Accountants, Architects, Consultants etc and covers them for Public Liability, it does not provide cover for any manual work. If cover for manual work is required please use our Tradesman and Contractor product.

Employers Liability cover

This cover can also be included to cover you against claims from employees for injury or illness caused during the course of their employment.

  • A person under a contract of service or apprenticeship with some other employer and who is hired to or borrowed by you.
  • A labour master or person supplied by him.

  • A self employed person performing work under a similar degree of control and direction by you as a person under a contract of service or apprenticeship with you.
  • A driver or operator of hired-in plant.
  • A trainee or person undergoing work experience.
