Bristol-based caravan manufacturer, Bailey, has announced that its Unicorn range is to be expanded, with the introduction of two new layouts. Since its re-launch last summer, the Unicorn has proven incredibly popular and Bailey are hoping that the new layouts will make it even more so.
The Unicorn Vigo and Unicorn Cordoba are both similar to the current Unicorn layout but are built on a different-sized chassis. Both new models will be constructed using AI-Ko chassis, Alu-Tech construction and a GRP outer skin. The Vigo and Cordoba will both achieve a pleasingly high specification level, with Tracker vehicle recovery systems and programmable Alde central heating just two of the features which are to be included.
The Unicorn Vigo will be most similar to the current Unicorn Cartagena, featuring the same transverse island double bed, but built on a single-axis chassis. On the other end of the scale, the new Cordoba is set to be similar to the Unicorn Cadiz, but bigger. The Cordoba is designed for those caravan owners whose children have outgrown the traditional bunk-bed set up, instead featuring fixed twin single beds. The Cordoba will also see the wardrobe moved into the washroom at the en-suite end, leaving extra space free for a full-size fridge freezer. The 190 litre appliance will be positioned in the middle of the van.
Final prices and weights for the Unicorn Cordoba and Unicorn Vigo have not yet been announced – Bailey have advised that the information should be available by the end of June.
