Actualize Online Technical Support in partnership with Lifesure
Finding IT support for your computer can be a frustrating business, especially as it usually goes wrong out of the traditional working day, or at weekends.
We have partnered with Actualize to bring our customers and their family, access to an online technical support service for your PC or Mac computer, which take the pain out of that search. Actualize is your personal IT expert, on the end of the phone or available online 24 hours a day. They can be contacted on 020 3807 0620.
The Actualize Group are a multinational company with over 15 years of providing technical support for their customers. Currently they have over 10 million customers worldwide and offer a 24 / 7, 365 days a year service.
To access the Actualize service, go to their website and enter the activation code that you have been emailed. There is a short sign in process that you will need to complete. The video below shows you how simple the whole process is and the registration procedure shown in the video is the same for Mac and PC.
You will only need to register with the online service once. Should you need the Actualize services again, you can click on the Access The Service button instead and enter your unique code.
Once you have successfully logged in you will have the opportunity to download a free 12-month Bitdefender software package for your computer worth up to £50. The software available is –
- Bitdefender Total Security for Windows PC’s
- Bitdefender Antivirus for Mac, or
- Bitdefender Mobile Security for Android devices
PC World and leading computer magazine publishers, PC Magazine and PC Advisor regularly recommend the Bitdefender security suite. Unfortunately there are no available products for Blackberry and mobile Apple devices at this time.
Remember that should you need any support, the Actualize team of professionals are on hand to help no matter how large or small the problem may be.
If you do have any problems with your computer that you would like assistance with, Actualize use the latest remote access technology. This installs a small piece of software on your machine that then gives a technician access to your computer. Through this access your technician will then be able to diagnose, explain and remedy any issues and in many cases they will be able to clean up or fix your computer.
To Access The Support
- Click on this link – https://landing.onlineassist.me/lifesure/
- Click on the Online Technical Support tab and type in a few brief details of your issue.
- You will then be asked to run a download to your computer.
- Once this is complete a technician will be able to see your computer screen and access the relevant files to help solve the problem.
Please note that once you are happy that your query has been resolved, the application will automatically uninstall itself from your computer, thereby denying any access to it by any unauthorised person.
Occasionally, due to the factory settings of Mac computers, you may initially be unable to access the Online Technical Support. To allow you to download the software, go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General tab > Under Allow apps downloaded from: click on Anywhere.
Once you have finished downloading the app from Actualize you can of course reverse your security settings should you choose to do so.
Perhaps unsurprisingly we tested Actualize thoroughly on our own friends and family to make sure that they could provide the level of expertise that we would be happy to recommend.
One particular Windows laptop appeared to have been badly affected by malware to the extent that it was almost impossible to use the internet due to pop up pages completely freezing the browser unless we called a USA telephone number and paid to have the adverts / virus removed.
Obviously this was extremely inconvenient, and not to mention irritating for the laptop owner as the pages would appear almost as soon as she went to her browser. She also had no idea where this malware had come from.
Prior to contacting Actualize, the computer had been looked at by several people including a couple of local IT experts who couldn’t remove the malware and had suggested that she just buy a new laptop. As a last ditch attempt to sort out the problem, we thought that this would be a prime candidate for testing and so it proved.
Logging on to the Actualize website was very simple and after downloading a small piece of software to the laptop, within a couple of minutes we were ‘talking’ online to a technician – this was all done by typing into a chat box. We were then asked to demonstrate the problem (which wasn’t difficult!) so that they could see it for themselves. The technician then asked to take control of our machine, which we agreed to and they then proceeded to run through a series of tests.
Two of the tests took a couple of hours to complete, but the software was very thorough and found a number of problems.
Whilst the tests were running, the technician asked if he / she could log off and asked us to start up a chat when they were complete. This we did, and although we were talking to a different technician, they were equally helpful and removed the problems that the testing had flagged.
The computer is now running better than before and the owner is delighted!
It was reassuring to be able to see what the technicians were doing at all times and they kept us fully informed as to what they were doing.
