What does Lifesure’s van insurance cover?

Take a look at how we could protect your van with our handy summary below. These features are specific to our most popular product. Remember that no policy protects you against every scenario and it’s best to also read our policy documents to understand the conditions and exclusions that apply.

What’s covered

  • Options for either personal or business use
  • If you choose comprehensive cover, you’ll get a temporary replacement vehicle after an accident for up to 7 days while your van is repaired
  • Up to £500 cover for replacement locks
  • Up to £100 cover for personal belongings (excluding tools)
  • A 3 year guarantee on any repairs carried out by an approved repairer
  • Windscreen cover
  • 90 days like-for-like cover in the EU

What’s not covered

  • Theft if your keys are left in the vehicle
  • Wear and tear
  • Loss of value of your vehicle after repair
  • Theft of goods, tools or samples carried as part of a trade or business

Policy enhancements

  • Accidental death & personal accident Provides a benefit payment for death or certain bodily injuries while driving or travelling in the insured vehicle
  • Key cover Provides cover for the costs to repair or replace keys in the event of damage, theft or loss
  • Substitute vehicle and legal expenses Provides cover for the recovery of uninsured losses and motoring prosecution defence. If your insured vehicle is undriveable or has been written off as a result of an incident which is insured by your motor insurance policy, we will arrange to supply you a substitute vehicle
  • Vehicle excess protection We will reimburse you for the excess on your vehicle insurance policy following a claim on your vehicle insurance
  • Motor breakdown Roadside recovery and at home assistance in the UK. Motor breakdown cover purchased on, or before the 28th of February will be provided by Call Assist. As of the 1st of March, motor breakdown cover will be provided by the RAC.

Your payment options

We believe in making insurance straight forward and easy for our customers. That’s why we have multiple payment options, so you can choose your preference: instalments, debit card or credit card.

Our advice would always be to prioritise the right level of protection for your van over price. Spreading the cost of your insurance can help make it a more manageable outgoing, which is why we partner with Close Brothers Premium Finance to enable you to pay in regular instalments. If you decide to pay by premium finance, the set-up process couldn't be easier as we arrange all of this while processing your policy.

The credit agreement will be between yourself and Close Brothers Premium Finance and you will make regular instalments by Direct Debit to them to repay the cost of your insurance premium, plus interest and any charges, which we’ll let you know about in advance.

Flexible payment dates, online account management and simple credit agreement renewal make it easy to have the best protection possible.
